Catherine Martin has worked as a costume and set designer on many projects, including the films Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge! and Australia, with her husband, Baz Luhrmann. Martin won two Academy Awards for Moulin Rouge! for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design. She also designed the set and costumes for the Broadway production of La Bohéme, winning a Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Musical.
