Tom Jellett was born in Sydney, lived in Adelaide, but now lives in Sydney again. He works as an illustrator for The Australian and The Daily Telegraph, and as well as illustrating The Littlest Pirate series he has illustrated a book about water called Something About Water by Penny Matthews, a book about a yellow blanky called My Yellow Blanky by Sofie Laguna, and a book about beaches called Australia at the Beach by Max Fatchen.
