Born in Melbourne, Leigh Hobbs is an artist and author who loves to create characters in words and pictures. As a child he was good at art and drew constantly, often when he was meant to be doing maths or sport. Apart from art, English history has always been Leigh's favourite subject. He travels to London every year to visit art galleries and museums, and to wander about studying old buildings, imagining the famous and not so famous people who lived and worked in them.
