Kim Gamble grew up in Sydney and began to illustrate books when his own children came along. He continued to wander that path for twenty years or so, accompanied often by Anna Fienberg, who created Tashi, and her mother Barbara. Kim believes it was a stroke of good fortune to have met these people. Before that, he was a rewinder in a sticky-tape factory.
