Richard J. Frankland has worked as a soldier, fisherman and Field Officer during the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, and has written, directed and produced more than fifty video, documentary and film projects including No Way to Forget, After Mabo, Harry's War, The Convincing Ground and Stone Bros. His films have won many awards, including an AFI award for Best Short Film (No Way to Forget) and a Jury Award for Best International Short Film at the Hollywood Black Film Festival (Harry's War), to name just a few. Born on the coast in southwest Victoria, Richard is a proud Gunditjmara man, an acclaimed musician and author of Digger J. Jones.
